Hey there,

as I was going through the installation guide on github I saw, that the linkes forum post on how to extract maps on linux does not exist anymore.

Can someone tell me how to do this? I have already compiled cmangos successfully using
cmake ../mangos -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=\../mangos/run -DBUILD_EXTRACTORS=ON -DPCH=1 -DDEBUG=0
. So I should have compiled the extraction tools as well? I don’t know how to go on.

    Best regards,
    Elygor

You should find the extractors (4 binaries) in the mangos/run/bin/tools folder after using that command you posted (and make/make install). Copy them to the WoW directory. Then go to core-repository/contrib/extractor_scripts/ and copy all the files there as well. After that you can run the ExtractResources.sh script to extract everything.

In case you’re german: Danke für deine “Muehe” 😀
In case you’re not: thank you very much for your help! 🙂

I already did that before but I probably forgot to set the right chmod to the files, so the script got stuck at trying to extract vmaps
